Take the time you need ... then let's get back to work By Emily Tseffos, DPOC Chair   We want to start by saying  thank you   to each and every one of you for your hard work these past few months. Whether you collated literature packs, greeted folks at the office, made calls, wrote postcards, knocked on thousands of doors, brought snacks, shared social media content, or served as a volunteer for those *very* busy weekends of action, our leadership team is grateful for you.   We wanted to quickly send a note because we know that many of us are feeling anxious, angry, sad, defeated... we are all dealing with Tuesday's results in different ways. Please take the time to process this in whatever way you need, and let us know if you need help. We've included some resources at the bottom we hope you'll turn to as needed   .   Let's gather this Sunday for community, gratitude and hope When: Sunday, Nov. 24 from 1 to 2 p.m. Where: DPOC Office 516 W. College What: Volunteer Appreciation and Gathering How: Sign up or just show up   We are barely two weeks out from the election and we’re all still coping with the traumatic results in whatever ways we can. Some of us are rageful, others grieving. Some of us are numb and tuned out. Others are already thinking about next steps and resistance.   Those of you who poured yourself into the campaign probably have an added layer of feelings, whether it is frustration, futility, disbelief or simple exhaustion. We hope that pride is what you ultimately land on because you have so much reason to feel proud. It’s much easier to sit by and hope rather than to jump in and put your hearts and bodies on the line, knowing the results might not be what you want.   This Sunday, we'd like to thank you for going all in like you did.
