Do the (next) Right Thing: Volunteer to elect Crawford! |
With each new day bringing more new outrages it can begin to feel as though we are stuck out in an open field in the middle of a monsoon.
But we can find refuge by simply doing the next right thing. And that next right thing is electing Judge Susan Crawford to the state supreme court and re-electing Jill Underly as State Superintendent of Schools.
So let’s take back our power. Let’s channel that anger into making certain we keep our progressive majority on the state supreme court. It’s not only essential for keeping our hard-won fair maps, safeguarding our rights and freedoms and keeping a Musk-funded right wing ideologue off the court, let’s face it: we need the win! We need it to restore our faith in democracy and basic decency. We need it to recharge our batteries and begin to build the momentum we need to stay in this fight.
We will be talking to our fellow Democrats every weekend either in Appleton/Grand Chute or Heart of the Valley. We are also offering canvassing on Tuesday and Thursday through Election Day.
As always, we can send you out with a buddy or you can bring one with you. We arm you with the talking points or this election overview and training if you require it.
We also need your help recruiting volunteers. This happens every Tuesday via Zoom from 6 to 8 p.m.

March 4 Freedom this Tuesday at Houdini Plaza |
How else are we taking back our power? By taking our outrage to the streets. Indivisible Fox Valley and the Appleton Area National Organization for Women have organized a March 4 Freedom rally on – you guessed it – March 4 (this Tuesday) from 5 to 6 p.m. at Houdini Plaza.
The entire country is rising up, especially after witnessing the shameless display in the White House during the Zelensky visit on Friday.
In advance of our big rally, we are holding a sign-making party at our county party office (516 W. College) on Monday from 6 to 7. Bring your own materials or use ours!
Rember, silence is complicity. Let's raise our voices and hoist those signs and let our fellow citizens know ... this is not okay! |

Don't miss our March 10 monthly meeting! |
There are so many major issues swirling all around us that it’s important to keep in mind some of those that hit closest to home. That includes public education. We are lucky to have on tap for our DPOC monthly meeting on March 10 a comprehensive presentation from the Fox Cities Advocates for Public Education. You do not want to miss that.
Also on the agenda is the presentation of the 2025 DPOC budget and an opportunity for paid DPOC members to introduce resolutions for the 8th CD Convention.
Prior to the meeting, we will host a potato bar beginning at 5:30. There is a $5 suggested donation. If you wish to bring items for the potato bar, here is the signup genius link.
Here, by the way, are the minutes from the February meeting as we will no longer be passing them out at the meetings. |
