The hopeful eyes of a nervous nation are on us

"Where have you gone Joe Dimaggio?/A nation turns its lonely eyes on you."

If Simon and Garfunkel wrote that song about the upcoming election they might have written, "Oh Heaven please Wisconsin Democrats/A nation turns its hopeful eyes on you."

And indeed our nation has. So, if not now, when?

Five days to go. Sixteen shifts to elect Susan Crawford and preserve democracy in our state and begin to re-establish it in our country. To restore hope in the hearts of Americans who are finally rising up out of their despair and fighting back. Join that fight over the final four days of the campaign and stop Donald Trump and Elon Musk right here in Wisconsin.

Justice Dallet, Dr. Jill Underly to visit office on Monday

Related to the election are a couple of big visits coming our way. Justice Dallet, one of the four progressive Justices on the current state supreme court, will join us at the office at 9 a.m. Monday. Please make plans to be there. She’s so dynamic and we want to show Madison just how engaged we are here in Outagamie County in the fight for democracy.

Grab a turf while you’re there and go out and make those final please to Democratic voters to have a plan to vote!

Later that evening, State Superintendent Dr. Jill Underly will pop in at 6 p.m. Come meet the candidate who we must re-elect to protect public education, grab a turf and go out on Election Day to talk to those last minute Democratic voters.

Oh yeah ... don't forget to vote!

Polls are open on April 1 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. And remember, if you're in line before 8 p.m., you can vote even if you don't get to the voting booth until after 8. Bring a photo ID.

All your voting information can be found here.

Make your voices heard at budget listening session April 2

The first of four statewide public listening sessions on the state budget bill will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at Kaukauna High School. The session will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Wisconsin 2025-27 Biennial Budget is the most important bill to be passed into law during the two-year Legislative session. Once approved, the budget bill will impact the lives of every Wisconsin citizen in some way. The Biennial Budget is currently being debated by the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC).

Written comments can also be turned in at the sign-in table or submitted via the committee’s website.
